Dance Classes & Institutes

Dance classes and institutes take place at the newly renovated, light-filled Liz Lerman Dance Exchange studios, just two blocks from the Takoma Metro. We offer a diverse range of programs for students of all ages. If you have questions about our classes or would prefer to register by telephone, please contact us: Kimberly Quick Classes and Institutes at Dance Exchange Classes From ballet to Latin Aerobics; from creative movement to the Teen Exchange, classes at the Dance Exchange are designed for anyone who loves to dance or wants to move. We have classes geared to children, teens, seniors and families – and at all levels of dance experience. Please note that in addition to registering online, many classes welcome drop-ins. Institutes Dance Exchange institutes provide an opportunity to step away from your regular routine and immerse yourself in an area of interest with like-minded people. They are welcoming, energizing, inspiring – and a lot of fun. Most are geared to everyone, though some may require specific training. Clothing and Shoes Please wear whatever is comfortable to move in. We ask everyone to remove their shoes before entering the dance studios, and provide cubbies outside of the studios to store your shoes and other belongings. Children in the Pre-K dance classes need to be potty trained. Babies in the “Dance With Me, Baby” class do not have to be potty trained. Exit Metro station and continue straight on Carroll Ave. At second stop light, take a left on Maple Ave. Dance Exchange is half a block down on your right. You can park along Refund/Credit Policy You may get a refund before classes begin, but we do not offer refunds after the first day of classes.
