Dance classes and institutes take place at the newly renovated, light-filled Liz Lerman Dance Exchange studios, just two blocks from the Takoma Metro. We offer a diverse range of programs for students of all ages. If you have questions about our classes or would prefer to register by telephone, please contact us: Dorothy Williams Classes and Institutes at Dance Exchange Classes Classes at the Dance Exchange are designed for anyone who loves to dance or wants to move. We have classes geared to teens and adults at all levels of dance experience. Please note that most classes welcome drop-ins. Institutes DESTINATION DANCE EXCHANGE LIZ LERMAN DANCE EXCHANGE SUMMER INSTITUTES 2009 Liz Lerman Dance Exchange expands its offerings of institutes this summer at its studios in Takoma Park, MD and DC and Baltimore area locations. The Dance Exchange presents the All Abilities Institute for movers of all ages and ability, Generating and Crafting Dances for professional and pre-professional dance artists, New Tools/Your Dance for emerging choreographers, and the International Teen Institute for young artists and their adult mentors. These unique experiences share the body of knowledge gained over the Dance Exchange’s 30-year history, offering participants a deep immersion into the Dance Exchange's highly regarded toolbox and methodology. Clothing and Shoes Please wear whatever is comfortable to move in. We ask everyone to remove their shoes before entering the dance studios, and provide cubbies outside of the studios to store your shoes and other belongings. Children in the Pre-K dance classes need to be potty trained. Babies in the “Dance With Me, Baby” class do not have to be potty trained. Exit Metro station and continue straight on Carroll Ave. At second stop light, take a left on Maple Ave. Dance Exchange is half a block down on your right.
