DX Adult & Family Programs
At Dance Exchange, we believe everybody can and should dance. We invite youth, families, and adults of all ages and experiences to gather, move, and make with us online and in our studios. Join us each week for classes led by the community of Dance Exchange artists.

Important note on Covid-19 safety
Dance Exchange takes the health and safety of our staff and participants seriously. Unless otherwise communicated by Dance Exchange, the following precautions will be in place for our Adult and Family programming for the entire program year:
Participants and staff will wear a mask at all times while in Dance Exchange studios, hallways, and bathrooms.
Participants and staff will have their temperature checked upon arrival. Anyone with a temperature above 100.4 degree Fahrenheit will be asked to go home for the day.
Participants and staff will not attend class if they are experiencing symptoms of Covid unless they have tested negative that day.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, Covid symptoms include Fever or chills, Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches, Headache, New loss of taste or smell, Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose, Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhea
If they have tested positive for Covid, participants and staff will remain home from class until ten days after their symptoms appeared.

As part of our Dance On creative aging program, this online class uses the power of moving and making to cultivate connection, creativity, and greater health at all ages. Classes are led by DX artists, including the members of our Dance On OAC Cohort. No pre-registration required; Drop-in anytime. This class is for older adults, but we don’t card at the door.

2022 Co|Lab
For movers ages 18+

At Dance Exchange (7117 Maple Ave, Takoma Park, MD)
Co|Lab is a community choreography laboratory that invites local artists and community members of all backgrounds, ages 18+, to collaborate alongside Dance Exchange artists. The Co|Lab program culminates in a performance at Dance Exchange.
In Fall 2022, Co|Lab will be co-led by Executive Artistic Director Cassie Meador and visiting Egyptian artist Ibrahim Abdo, the current Organizing with Artists for Change Fellow at Dance Exchange.
