Organizing with Artists for Change Institutes at DX

As part of our Organizing with Artists for Change (OAC) initiative, Dance Exchange’s OAC: Institutes embrace process and performance, dialogue and dancemaking, and the role of artists as changemakers.

Both our Winter and Summer Institutes support reflection and response to important issues and opportunities of our time and build the capacities and connections for artists to ignite inquiry and inspire change in their own communities.

Dance Exchange’s 2026 Organizing with Artists for Change (OAC) Climate Institute will focus on the role of artmaking and creative engagement within the climate movement. This year’s Climate Institute will be held at Workspace for Choreographers in Sperryville, VA.
