5RHYTHMS® | MOVE • BREATHE • SWEAT • RELEASE

Come as you are. Move what you carry.

5Rhythms® is a dynamic movement meditation practice created by Gabrielle Roth, emerging from her decades of exploration into the transformative power of movement beginning in the 1960s and 70s. There are no steps to learn and no choreography to follow. Instead, we move through five rhythms—Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness—and allow the body to find its own movement and expression.

This is a space to breathe, move, sweat and come alive.
A space to shake off the stress of the week.
To loosen the conditioning, expectations and old stories we carry.
To get out of our heads and back into our bodies.
To release what is ready to move and make room for something new.
And we don't have to do it alone.

We move together and by ourselves sometimes and always as one moving community. We breathe together. We sweat together. We remember what it feels like to be fully present, connected and alive.

Come exactly as you are.
Move. Breathe. Sweat. Release. Rejuvenate. Connect.

No dance experience necessary. Just bring your body, your breath, and a willingness to move.

No dance experience or preparation is needed. Please arrive a few minutes early and give yourself time to settle in. Everything offered is an invitation—listen to your body, move at your own pace, and honor your boundaries. Partner and group movement may be offered, but your choice and consent are always respected. Please bring water, wear comfortable clothing, and come prepared to move and sweat. Please avoid wearing strong fragrances, and come free from alcohol or other intoxicating substances. Most importantly, bring curiosity, an open mind, and yourself exactly as you are.

5Rhythms® nurtures creativity, wellness, and meaningful human connection. By moving through and releasing old patterns, beliefs, and conditioning, we can experience greater freedom and ease in our bodies and in how we relate to one another—creating space for authentic expression, belonging, and collective care.

What Participants Can Expect:
Expect to move, breathe, sweat, release, and reconnect.

We begin gently, giving you time to arrive, settle into your body, and find your own movement. From there, we journey through the 5Rhythms® Wave. There are no steps to learn, no choreography, and no right or wrong way to move. You are invited to listen to your body and follow what feels true for you. Throughout the class, you may dance on your own, with a partner, or as part of the whole group. Everything is an invitation, you are always encouraged to honor your body, your boundaries, and your needs. All bodies and all levels of mobility are welcome. We have movers explore the practice standing, on the floor, from a chair, and even at times using a wheelchair. The invitation is simply to find the movement that is available and authentic for your body.

Expect music, movement, breath, sweat, connection, release, and moments of stillness.
Come as you are. Wear comfortable clothes, bring water, and be ready to move.
No dance experience is necessary. Every body is welcome.

What Participants should bring or wear:
Wear comfortable, breathable clothes that let your body move freely. You may get warm and sweaty, so light layers work well. We usually dance barefoot, but dance shoes or supportive footwear are welcome if your body needs them. Bring water, and consider a small towel or an extra shirt.

Accessibility Accommodations:

Classes are designed to be adaptable and inclusive of different bodies, abilities, and ways of moving. Participants are welcome to move in all levels and all movement invitations can be modified based on individual needs and comfort. There is no required choreography or specific level of physical ability. Participants are encouraged to honor their own pace, boundaries, and needs throughout the class.

For specific physical accessibility needs related to the venue, participants are encouraged to contact us in advance so we can work with the venue to determine available accommodations.
