The Burlesque Basics program teaches you how to bump, grind, shake, & shimmy like the burlesque star you are! We offer classes on classic burlesque moves and foundational skills from showgirl posture and stage walks to shimmies and crafting your own “signature style” of burlesque movement.

All levels welcome, from burlesque beginners to experienced stage performers. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! This class is for everyone and all bodies, with no dance experience required.

The Burlesque Basics program is adaptable and inclusive of all bodies and abilities! We can modify moves as needed. All participants are actively encouraged to honor their own boundaries and bodies within the movements offered. Feel free to contact us anytime to discuss any requested accommodations! This program empowers participants to love and accept their bodies. This can be revolutionary for marginalized and vulnerable people who have been historically oppressed and dehumanized.

Burlesque is a historical art form that had its golden age in the 1920s-1960s and is marked by glamour, eye-catching costumes, and playful tease and reveals. A neo-burlesque revival in the 1990s brought the art form back into the mainstream.Class Schedule:
